A Rose for Viki

A Rose for Viki

The original oil painting of “A Rose for Viki” was painted in memory of Viki Newell, who lost her battle with recurring breast cancer in 2005.

To honor her life and occupation as a Master Cosmetologist, I have begun to volunteer for the “Look Good…Feel Better” program sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

My friend, Jo Pittman, states that “all women in cancer treatment need to feel special and pampered”. This is what the “Look Good…Feel Better” program is all about. Read below for the details of this very worthy program.*

As a Master Cosmetologist, Viki helped many women with their hair, skin and nail problems, as a survivor of 10 years she knew first hand the problems that women face at a most difficult time in their lives.

It is my desire that 20% of the profits from the sale of this giclee be donated to the “Look Good…Feel Better”, program.
The giclee can be made into several sizes and printed on watercolor paper. The watercolor paper is 310gm paper, the ink very stable for a long time. My intent for this unique painting is to bring hope and peace to all who receive it.

Please take a moment to call or e-mail me about the giclee, and how your donation will be accounted for by the American Cancer Society.

*This program teaches women how to cope with the way their appearance changes while in cancer treatment. A two hour workshop is held by caring professionals teaching, “Look Good…Feel Better”, techniques concerning hair loss, skin care, nail care and makeup. This program is a free service. A free complimentary makeup bag to be used during the workshop and taken home is donated by leading cosmetic companies.
