Ellene Breedlove Davis and Yellow Creek Art Newsletter
Welcome Everyone,
Was your summer a good one? It sure passed fast for me. I’ve been busy participating in the Downtown Gainesville, GA Art Walk and painting. Hope you’ve been using your creative talents also.
Many new readers have joined our “Fellow Art Lovers” community over the summer. So glad you’re here!

Due to budget cuts in Hall County, Georgia, the Blackshear Place Library is closed now on the weekend, so no more workshops on Saturday there.
I’m now in negotiation with the Spout Springs Library and hopefully soon I’ll be able to tell you the time of the next workshop.
In the meantime, I’ll be speaking on September 15, 2011, at the North Georgia Arts Guild, Clayton, GA. The topic is “And Someone Said Every Artist Needs A Website.” I’ll be giving lots of tips, about how and why I work tirelessly to use the internet to get the word out about my art and how you can also.
September 17, 2011 brings Art in the Square, downtown Gainesville, GA. This is a fine art show and sale in its 8th year. I’ll be in the Georgia Arts League Booth, come by to see me.
On September 24, 2011, I’ll be demonstrating for The Hart Regional Arts Council for their fall festival.
On October 8, 2011, I’ll host a workshop at the Hart Regional Arts Council.
More about these two events in a few days.
There are many ways to experience and enjoy a watercolor workshop. See if any of these sound like something you could relate to…
• Learn a new skill – we are never too old or too busy to learn.
• Taking a workshop can give you a much deserved guilt-free ME Time.
• If you are already an artist come an brush up on your skills where you will enjoy individual instruction and encouragement.
• If you are a beginning watercolor student you will learn to become a watercolor artist in a wholesome, safe environment and, you will be able to turn the tables on your inner voice that states … You Can’t Do That!
• You will have a finished painting to take home with you at the end of the workshop.
I’ve written a blog post with many helpful tips and suggestions to make taking a watercolor workshop stress free.
